Rise-Lab Diversity Circle is stepping outside for an afternoon in the Welfengarten, in a casual gathering for anyone in the faculty who'd rather trade the seminar room for sunlight, snacks, and easy company, and especially for women and diverse voices in research. Come meet people you haven't had a chance to talk to yet, across departments, across career stages, across whatever usually keeps us in our own corners.

No agenda, no pressure...just show up.

Special Guest

Associate Professor, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University

Alin Olteanu

Prof. Alin Olteanu is a researcher in semiotics, education, and digitalization, with a particular interest in embodiment, multimodality, and the social and cultural consequences of digital technologies.

He holds a PhD in Philosophy of Education from Roehampton University, London, and has conducted postdoctoral research at institutions including Kaunas University of Technology and the University of Tartu. He is currently also a Postdoctoral Researcher and Publications Coordinator at c/re and holds several roles in international semiotics associations.

At Rise-Lab Open Air Networking Event, he will share insights into his research journey from Germany to Japan , his international academic experience, and conducting research across different academic environments.
