Rise-LAB Diversity Circle: Kickoff Event for Our New Career Support Series
“You don’t have to navigate your career alone — growth is faster when we grow together.”
At our Rise-LAB Diversity Circle, we’re launching a faculty-wide, designed support series for early stage researchers, focused on the parts of career development that don’t show up in papers, experiments, or grant deadlines, and for anyone who carries doubts, questions, challenges, or concerns about career building, for any reason. If you’ve ever wondered “Am I doing this right?”, felt unsure about the next step, or faced barriers that are hard to name, you belong here.
We want to create a space where we can share openly, listen deeply, and jointly think about what could help, so we can strengthen pathways, build confidence, and grow together.
This first gathering is the kickoff: a dedicated space to sit together and explore what you experience as your career boosters and your career blockers. Our aim is to accelerate rising stars in our faculty by addressing the non-scientific realities that shape progress, visibility, confidence, belonging, mentoring, communication, networking, workload, and navigating uncertainty and by turning shared insights into practical support and follow-up activities.
📅 Main event: April 10, 15:00–19:00 🥾 Reflection hike: April 11, 09:00 (optional, relaxed pace)
We’ll be joined by two inspiring speakers and one professional coach, who will offer perspectives, tools, and guided reflection, so you leave with clarity, connections, and momentum.
